One neighborhood that is really making moves is West Colfax. Up until fairly recently this neighborhood has not enjoyed the same level of revitalization that some adjacent areas have like Sloan’s Lake and Jefferson Park. However, like those neighborhoods, it enjoys some of the same key elements.
It is very well located in proximity to the downtown core, the trendy Highland area, and Sports Authority Field at Mile High. It is also highly connected by roads (Colfax running through the spine of the neighborhood) as well as light rail stops. Additionally, the topography of the west side of town here provides for awe-inspiring vistas of downtown.
There is a very solid stock of existing homes in this area, while at the same time the zoning is favorable for redevelopment opportunities, making it a desirable place to look for investment.
Mile High Vista has already been completed, and added density and apartment units to the south side of Colfax, in addition to a beautiful new public library.
The biggest catalyst though is likely to be the St. Anthony’s Redevelopment Site. Already announced for this site are a highrise condo project, a large apartment community, and a mixed use office and retail project that will include an Alamo Drafthouse Cinema and a second location of the popular Highland Tap and Burger. The original street grid will also be restored which will really integrate this site with Colfax and the West Colfax neighborhood at large.
It will be exciting to watch this area grow in the future. Interested in discussing real estate? Give us a call.
